Caleb Williams Gets BBL, Bears Scramble To Find Pants That Fit
CHICAGO—Being an NFL equipment manager is tough. Transporting gear, ensuring safety compliance, and managing game-day logistics. But life got a whole helluva lot harder for Bears equipment manager Matt Marcuccillo on Wednesday when Caleb Willams got a surprise BBL.
“I’ve been on the job since the 1980s and found uniforms that can fit every shape and size you can imagine,” Marcuccillo said. “Hell, I even found game pants that could fit William “The Refrigerator” Perry’s industrial-sized badonkadonk. But Caleb’s Brazilian Butt Lift has put me in quite the pickle. Imagine finding football pants that could fit Kim Kardashian’s enormous silicone haunches. It can’t be done.”
Williams’ flamboyant choices have drawn media attention before. And while his designer handbags, lip gloss and painted fingernails are seen as unapologetically fashion forward by many, they were never seen as detrimental to his football team.
But his Brazilian Butt Lift hits different. Bears head coach Ben Johnson flat doesn’t like it. “Look, a man can paint his fingernails, play with Barbies, or recycle all he wants. I could care less what Caleb does, as long as it doesn’t affect the team’s performance. But artificially increasing the size of his ass has limited our play-calling in the red zone. Now there’s just no way I can call a tush-push. He’s got more much junk in his trunk than Fred Sanford.”
This was a lesson the Bears learned the hard way in practice. The offense attempted the “tush push”, but D’Andre Swift and Cole Kmet were both injured in the attempt. Swift strained his lower lumbar and Kmet suffered an aneurysm, landing both Bears stalwarts on IR.
At press time, equipment manager Marcuccillo was in talks with Wakanda to produce a sideline bench made of adamantium, capable of supporting Williams’ new massive cheeks.
