Ref Claims He Did Not Scream ‘F– You’ At Trey McBride, Actually Said ‘Puck Chew’
METLIFE STADIUM–An NFL referee found himself in the spotlight during the Giants and Cardinals game when cameras caught line judge Jeff Seeman berating Arizona’s All-Pro tight Trey McBride as he left the field of play.
Seeman chirped at McBride as he walked towards the sideline, appearing to yell “‘F— you’ at the Cardinals All-Pro tight end. But Seeman insists it was one big mistake. “Of course I didn’t use inappropriate language,” he claimed. “Look at the tape. I clearly said ‘Puck Chew’.”
The veteran official explained that this phrase is common knowledge among millennials. “My generation used to say ‘tough titty’. Today, the millennials say ‘puck chew’. Everyone knows this. It’s a reference to the common practice of trying to eat a hockey puck. Chewing a hunk of vulcanized rubber is not easy. Neither is football. Neither is life. Suck it up, buttercup.”
When members of the press questioned the veracity of Seeman’s claim, the line judge replied, “How dare you question my integrity, you bun of a stitch, sock stuffer-mother ducker!” and stormed out.
