Week 3 Start ‘Em/Sit ‘Em: Time to Trust the Trends
Two weeks are enough to start spotting trends—but not enough to start digging graves for players you drafted in August. Week 3 is about identifying which players deserve a lineup boost and which ones should spend Sunday holding your fantasy clipboard.
✅Start ‘Em
Jordan Love, QB, Packers
Love gets Atlanta at home, and the Falcons have allowed 18.1 fantasy points per game to quarterbacks. The Packers’ passing game is worth investing in, and Love is a strong QB1/QB2 option this week.
Romeo Doubs, WR, Patriots
With A.J. Brown sidelined, Doubs has an opportunity to become a bigger part of New England’s passing attack. His 96-yard Week 2 performance showed the upside, and Jacksonville sets up as a favorable environment.
Dalton Schultz, TE, Texans
Schultz exploded for 12 catches and 140 yards on 14 targets in Week 2. That’s the kind of target volume PigSkinFantasy likes to see—especially at tight end. As long as Nico Collins is out, keep riding the pig.
❌Sit ‘Em
Justin Herbert, QB, Chargers
Herbert hasn’t topped 15 fantasy points through two weeks and now draws Buffalo. Unless you’re desperate, this is a week to look elsewhere.
Emeka Egbuka, WR, Buccaneers
Two mediocre games followed by Minnesota’s defense? That’s enough to make Egbuka a reluctant bench candidate this week.
Colston Loveland, TE, Bears
One catch for three yards through two games isn’t exactly screaming “start me.” The fact that Colston currently ranks third in receptions and yards out of all the TE’s on the Bears, may scream “bench me.” With Chicago’s quarterback situation uncertain and Philadelphia next, Loveland belongs in the fantasy witness-protection program for now.
PigSkinFantasy rule: Two weeks don’t define a season—but they should definitely influence your lineup.
