Fantasy football analysis covering player value, rankings, draft strategy, trends, matchups, and the reasoning behind our calls.
Week 1 giveth, and Week 1 taketh away. The first Sunday of the fantasy football season always produces a few breakout performances, a few managers convinced they have already won their league, a few hating life, and a handful of injuries that force everyone to start digging through the waiver wire. This week, the injury…
Week 1 is over, which means fantasy football has officially entered its annual overreaction phase. A player scores two touchdowns and suddenly he’s a league winner. Someone you drafted in the fourth round catches three passes and you’re wondering if you should trade him for a backup kicker. Everybody relax. One game shouldn’t completely change…
Week 2 is where fantasy managers start making mistakes. That is, unless they started Kyle Pitts or Colston Loveland last week. In which case that would be Week 1. Someone scores 31 points in Week 1 and suddenly he’s a league-winner. Someone else scores four points and he’s headed for the waiver wire. Put down…
It’s Week 2! The first waiver run of the season is always dangerous because we’re working with one game’s worth of evidence. Two touchdowns can make a player look a lot more important than he actually is. Meanwhile, a running back quietly gets 15 touches, doesn’t score and remains available in most leagues. We’re more…
Well, we asked for answers. Sunday gave us some. It also gave us the Bears scoring 59 points, Bijan Robinson essentially becoming Atlanta’s entire offense, Ashton Jeanty catching two touchdowns, and Alvin Kamara not playing at all. So, yes, football is officially back. Before Week 1, we laid out 10 fantasy questions we wanted Sunday…
We made it. Months of mock drafts, training camp reports, depth-chart speculation, annual Cleveland Browns mayhem and coaches telling us every player is “in the best shape of his life” are finally behind us. Now we get actual football. Week 1 won’t answer every fantasy question. It’ll probably create about 50 new ones. But Sunday…
Draft season is, sadly, pretty much over. The high-stakes crowd will keep drafting into next weekend, but most of us have folded up the draft boards and moved on to the next fantasy obsession: figuring out who we can grab before everyone else realizes they’re useful. A typical 12-team draft goes about 16 rounds deep….
Draft season is, sadly, pretty much over. Sure, the high-stakes crowd will keep drafting into next weekend, but most of us have real jobs, packed away the draft board, convinced ourselves we nailed the middle rounds, and moved on to obsessing over Week 1 lineups. The average fantasy draft goes about 16 rounds deep. In…
Week 1 has officially begun, which means fantasy managers can finally get back to what we do best: wildly overreacting to one football game. We’re not ready to declare anyone a league winner (or send anyone to the waiver wire) just yet. But after one game, a few fantasy stocks are already moving. 📈 Stock…
Every Fantasy manager loves a week 1 sleeper. You know the type: the guy buried down around WR40 or RB35 who suddenly finds himself sitting in the end zone on Sunday afternoon while you’re staring at your bench wondering why you didn’t see it coming. Week 1 is particularly fertile ground for these kinds of…
