The Saturday Morning Panic Meter: Who To Start Week 4

Saturday morning. The coffee is brewing. The fantasy lineup is open. And suddenly that player you were perfectly comfortable starting on Wednesday looks like the worst decision you’ve ever made. Welcome to the Saturday Morning Panic Meter. Every week, fantasy managers head to FantasyPros and ask the same question in approximately 7,000 different ways: β€œWho…

  • Rachaad White: OUT

White injured his shoulder last week, did not practice this week and has been ruled out of the Commanders game this Sunday against Carolina. This should increase Jacory Croskey-Merritt’s usage and give him his highest ceiling of the year. Recently signed Austin Ekeler should step in and take over the third down/receiving role.

  • Justin Jefferson Ruled Out

Jefferson will not play Sunday against the Dolphins after suffering a left ankle sprain last weekend. Jordan Addison should see a huge boost this week after getting 9 targets, 5 catches, 90 yards and a touchdown last week after Jefferson went out. Jauan Jennings might, also, get some attention.

  • DeVonta Smith Ruled OUT

Smith, sidelined with a hamstring injury, has been ruled out. Smith “did not participate” in practice this week and was scratched from the game on Friday. This, obviously, elevates Dontayvion Wicks and may give Makai Lemon the shot he’s been waiting for.

  • Ladd McConkey DNP

Apparently recovered from his rib injury, McConkey is now dealing with a foot injury. After a limited practice on Wednesday, he limped out of the locker room on Thursday and did not practice. Keep an eye on his situation, but even if he’s healthy he’s probably no better than a FLEX until the Chargers right…

  • The Next Man Up: Week 4 Fantasy Football Injuries & Who Benefits

Apparently, fantasy football managers weren’t suffering enough. Week 3 arrived with its usual collection of touchdowns, terrible decisions, questionable coaching and last second field goals that left fantasy managers screaming at their televisions. Then the injury bug showed up and decided it wanted a piece of the action. De’Von Achane is done for the season….

  • Travis Etienne to IR

The Saints have chosen to place Travis Etienne on IR with his hamstring injury. He will miss the next four weeks and, most likely, return Week 9 after their bye. Alvin Kamara will most likely get first crack at the starting job, but will almost certainly be in some kind of a timeshare with Kendre…

Week 4 Fantasy Football Sleepers: 4 Players Ranked Too Low

Fantasy football rankings are useful. They are also wrong every week. That is why we don’t simply stare at a ranking and accept it as gospel. Rankings are a starting point. Usage, opportunity, matchup and game environment are where the real clues live. For Week 4, there are four wide receivers sitting outside the consensus…

  • Puka Nacua Trending Toward Playing

Puka Nacua returned to a limited practice on Wednesday. Head Coach Sean McVay said he expects Nacua to play against the Eagles on Sunday. Keep an eye on the Rams practices the rest of the week, but plan on having Nacua in your line ups.

  • Jayden Reed: OUT for Season

Jayden Reed, who injured his neck in Week 2, is set to undergo season ending surgery. If there is good news in this, it is not expected to be career ending. The Packers pass game should continue to look as it has since Reed went out: A lot of Christian Watson and Matthew Golden.
